UFC lightweight contender Roger Huerta stated on a special pre-UFC 73 edition of The Scott Ferrall Show on Sirius Satellite Radio that he’s decided to return to train in Minneapolis full time with former UFC middleweight champion Dave Menne. Huerta mentioned that he had been considering a move to Las Vegas to train at Xtreme Couture with Randy Couture on a regular basis and that going to LA to train with Dan Henderson was also under consideration. He said he believes Minneapolis is the best place for him and that there’s a tendency to lose focus in environments such as Vegas.

When asked when he will be fighting again, Huerta wasn’t precisely sure but mentioned that he talked to Joe Silva recently and that September is a possibility. He added that there’s one fight left on his UFC contract and that an extension needs to be worked out.
