Rafael Carvalho left the CenturyLink Arena in Boise, Idaho Friday night with his Bellator middleweight title.
However, it came with plenty of controversy.
Carvalho retained the title and won his 13th straight fight with a split decision victory over Melvin Manhoef in the main event of Bellator 155. The main card aired live on Spike TV.
The decision was met with plenty of boos by the crowd and caused a fire storm on Twitter afterwards.
In the co-main event, Pat Curran picked up a decision over Georgi Karakhanyan, while Alexis Dufresne stunned Marloes Coenen with a first round submission win. Dufresne, though, came in four pounds over the featherweight limit for the contest.
