Claudia Gadelha has just one loss on her MMA resume and she wants the chance to redeem that.
Gadelha scored a convincing decision victory over former World Series of Fighting champion Jessica Aguilar Saturday night at UFC 190. After the performance, the Brazilian looked right at UFC president Dana White cageside and asked for a rematch with Joanna Jedrzejczyk.
“Dana White, make my title shot happen,” she said. “I am the best in the world and I am here to prove that.”
Jedrzejczyk earned a decision victory over Gadelha last December, earning her title shot with the win. She dominated Carla Esparza and defended vs. Jessica Penne earlier this year.
“This fight has to happen,” she said. “Joanna, I hope you’re training hard. I’ll be here ready for you whenever you want.”
Gadelha has earned two decisions in her three Octagon fights, having also bested Tina Lahdemaki in 2014.
Aguilar, making her UFC debut, had her 10-fight win streak snapped. That included wins over Esparza and Megumi Fujii.
White appeared to hear the message, posting a picture of Gadelha and the champion on Twitter after the fight:
