UFC 189 Card Finalized; Means-Brown On Prelims

Provided everybody remains healthy, the lineup has been set for UFC 189.

Featuring a double-title card on July 11, the event will go down from Las Vegas.

In the main event, Conor McGregor challenges Jose Aldo for the featherweight title, while the co-main boasts Robbie Lawler defending his welterweight title vs. Rory MacDonald.

Also, Dennis Bermudez-Jeremy Stephens, Gunnar Nelson-John Hathaway and Brad Pickett-Thomas Almeida will be featured on pay-per-view. The prelim main bout will see Tim Means take on Matt Brown.

    still can’t get used to the whole ‘more people will see the fights on Fox’ thing.
    My instinct is to say, why the fuck are Gunnar vs Hathaway & Picket vs Almeida on the PPV, but Matt Brown vs Tim Means, which is guaranteed fireworks, is on the prelims.
    OK, so i understand why Brown vs Means is on Fox, it’s definite entertainment. By that still doesn’t explain why they have sub par fights like Nelson/Hathaway on the PPV.
    Most likely Nelson/Hathaway will be incredibly dull, so why not put a barn burner on the PPV, and then get another good fight for the prelims?

    Also Almeida puts Picket away in the first, money to be made there.
