Another Impressive Performance From Cris Cyborg

invicta fc 11

Cris “Cyborg” Justino put on a striking show in just 46 seconds, successfully defending her featherweight title Friday night over Charmaine Tweet at Invicta FC 11.

Justino scored the stoppage victory following a tremendous flurry of punches. She dropped Tweet moments into the bout, but the challenger survived that onslaught and got back to her feet.

The second time Cyborg came after her, referee Herb Dean had seen enough and called a stop to the fight.

Alexa Grasso scored a decision over Mizuki Inoue in a thrilling 15-minute affair that earned the two fighters “Fight of the Night” honors. Justino and Irene Aldana were given “Performance of the Night” bonuses.

Chris has rhonda number. Her stand up is better and her ground game will be enough to not get dominated on the ground like rousy does all these wrestlers. I also belive she ll be a better champ than rousy by creating a 145 division and being humble. I’m not sure is chris had her mom there for motavation and to depend on but I’m sure he back round will make her a better champ if she came from half the struggle she’s been to get into the ufc.

They won’t ever fight so it’s not like it matters. Cyborg gave up her attempt of cutting to 135 after realizing it wouldn’t work (I think she got hospitalized), and Ronda won’t move back up to 145

It was a very good night of fights yet again from Invicta with a new star in Alexa Grasso, Cyborg looked great as expected, and a load of great fights. I love the pace of Invicta as we are not waiting around 10 minutes between fights, the backstage interviews were terrific just wish they had Mauro back in the booth.
