Four In A Row For Max “Blessed” Holloway

ufc fight night 53

Max Holloway has been on a roll since a loss to Conor McGregor, making it four in a row Saturday at UFC Fight Night 53 with a first round knockout of Akira Corassani.

Holloway (11-3) has finished all four of those opponents, with the latest being a near-flawless performance vs. Corassani on enemy territory.

“I got the best team in the world,” Holloway said. “I’m in the gym day in and day out working on my striking, my ground, my wrestling; I just didn’t get to show it.”

The 22-year-old has earned six victories inside the Octagon via finish and is 7-3 all-time over 10 UFC appearances. He dropped a decision to McGregor and a split decision to Dennis Bermudez – both coming last year.

As for what could be next for “Blessed,” he is looking to improve his stock just a little more.

“I want a top guy so I can get ranked by the end of the year,” he said.

Holloway has the talent and attributes to be one hell of a contender, it’ll just be interesting to see if he can fully grow into them. So far his only losses in the UFC are to the cream of the crop, and the kid’s just 22.

fourth fight of the year and four stoppages, doesn’t get much better than that
