UFC Veteran Decides Enough Is Enough, Makes Retirement Official

Krzysztof Soszynski announced his official retirement from MMA Friday night during an interview on “Inside MMA.”

Soszynski went 26-12-1 in his MMA career and 6-3 in the UFC, but has not fought since a 2011 loss to Igor Pokrajac. He holds wins over the likes of Stephen Bonnar and Brian Stann, but cited memory loss and concern over future issues with his brain as the reason for retiring.

Check out the complete interview in the video below:

  • Screenplaya says:

Heartbreaking. Such an entertaining and charismatic fighter.

I am so glad he is choosing the healthiest option.

  • Dufresne says:

I read a little from his interview a day or so ago, and if he’s really having this severe of memory loss problems he should be seen by a neurologist ASAP. The way he was describing it makes it sound like he has very little short term memory at all. I hope he improves, he was always a blast to watch and well spoken as well.
