Weigh-ins for Saturday’s UFC on FOX 12 event took place earlier today from San Jose.

In the main event, Robbie Lawler and Matt Brown collide to determine the No. 1 contender to the UFC welterweight title. Brown came in over and he’ll need to cut that weight or forfeit 20-percent of his purse.

Also, Anthony Johnson welcomes Antonio Rogerio Nogueira back in the co-main event, while Dennis Bermudez-Clay Guida and Bobby Green-Josh Thomson round out the main card.

Below is the final fight card, along with a video replay of the weigh-ins. And, as a reminder, FightLine will have coverage of all the televised action.

According to the article I just read Brown didn’t have to cut the weight because (supposedly) the CSAC wouldn’t let him, so as a result the UFC isn’t going to fine him, he isn’t going to lose a part of his purse, he’s still going to get any bonuses if he earns them, and he still gets #1 contender if he wins.

That’s some BS right there, if it’d been anyone else Dana would be throwing them under the bus and bitching, but not this time.

    That’s some B.S.

  • Dufresne says:

Supposedly Brown was advised by the docs to not continue cutting weight, and he thought they were saying he wasn’t allowed to continue cutting so he stopped. They’re chalking it up to miscommunication at this point, but I’ve never heard of this happening before.
