Officials Set UFC 175: Weidman Vs. Machida Lineup

Urijah Faber

In a somewhat surprising move, Urijah Faber will go from a pay-per-view main event fight to the headline act for a PPV prelim lineup, as Faber vs. Alex Caceres tops the UFC 175 televised action.

Set for July 5, the card features two championship matches. Chris Weidman defends his middleweight title vs. Lyoto Machida, while Ronda Rousey meets Alexis Davis for her female bantamweight belt.

Other main card bouts include Matt Mitrione-Stefan Struve, Uriah Hall-Thiago Santos and Marcus Brimage-Russell Doane.

Faber and Caceres will top off the FOX Sports 1 prelims, being joined by Ildemar Alcantara-Kenny Robertson, Chris Camozzi-Bruno Santos and Rob Font-George Roop.

Two bouts are set for UFC Fight Pass, including a recently announced collision of champions. Resurrection Fighting Alliance’s Kevin Casey will face Legacy FC champ Bubba Bush. Both fighters are champions in their respective promotion, and both hold eight MMA wins to their credit.

Below is the current lineup for the night and the latest extended video preview.

  • THEGUNNER says:

Fabers on the prelims? How does that help ppv buys?

  • AlphaOmega says:

Ya that’s weird why have Faber on Prelims and Hall on PPV?

  • Screenplaya says:

I guess the UFC has an obligation to deliver viewers on FOX Sports 1. Faber vs Bruce Leroy oughta make that happen.

  • hindsightufuk says:

other than the top two fights, what a fucking awful PPV yet again.

also is it just me or has there been very little advertising for this card? I mean, according to Dana you got the UFC’s biggest star as the co main event, and i’ve seen next to nothing popping up about this.

but main point is, Stefan Struve vs. Matt Mitrione, Uriah Hall vs. Thiago Santos & Marcus Brimage vs. Russell Doane
what a horrible choice for PPV. guess it shows how much pull or how important Fox is to the UFC at this stage. Thats where the majority of good fights happen these days
