Bellator 115 Results: Kongo Denied Championship

Vitaly Minakov controlled the action and retained his Bellator heavyweight title Friday night at Bellator 115 with a decision victory over Cheick Kongo.

Minakov picked up 48-46, 48-46 and 48-46 decisions on the scorecards in his first title defense, improving to 14-0 overall. The loss dropped Kongo to 20-9-2.

The main card was decimated by weight issues earlier in the week, as two tournament semifinal bouts were scrapped.

    Minakov handled Kongo with ease, but what the hell was up with Herb Dean in that fight, Minakov hit one low blow and he lost a point, Kongo got warned exactly 6 times for holding the shorts and not one point was taken from him?
