Sara McMann has competed on the big stage before, securing a silver medal at the 2004 Athens Summer Olympics in wrestling.
So, when she steps inside the Octagon in under two weeks to face Ronda Rousey at UFC 170 for the UFC female bantamweight title, McMann won’t be overly stressed.
“She’s just another opponent,” said McMann, during a recent interview with Inside MMA. “I look at it the same way and I think that’s to my benefit.
“I just go out there and train hard and treat her like an opponent with skills in this area and deficits in this area.”
McMann (7-0) won gold medals at a pair of Pan American Games and scored a TKO over Sheila Gaff in her Octagon debut last year.
