Brad Tavares Responds To Tim Boetsch’s Request For Opponent

Brad Tavares appears to be getting the hang of this MMA thing.

Tavares recently took to Twitter to push for a match with Tim Boetsch. Tavares (12-1) is coming off a fifth consecutive victory over Lorenz Larkin.

Since a 2011 decision loss to Aaron Simpson, the Hawaiian has topped Dongi Yang, Tom Watson, Riki Fukuda and Bubba McDaniel, along with the Larkin win last month.

Boetsch, meanwhile, snapped a two-game losing streak with a decision victory over C.B. Dollaway last October. Prior to his back-to-back defeats, Boetsch (17-6) had won four in a row, including bouts with Hector Lombard and Yushin Okami.

Well, now with Boetsch now fighting Rockhold, who does Tavares fight? Got to be either Thales Leites or Yoel Romero, right? Outside shot of Antonio Braga Neto. Hmm, next Brazilian card is late March….wonder if all three of those named Brazilians will get on the card. Tom Lawlor and Uriah Hall are the next highest ranked guys coming off wins, unless they pair a higher ranked guy coming off a loss like Munoz or Philippou.
I’d save those to fight each other and do:
    Tavares vs Leites
    Yoel Romero vs Uriah Hall
Braga Neto vs Tom Lawlor since he is coming off of injury.

For being on a Brazilian Card, I’m ok with these fights.
