MMA fighters linked to Biogenesis scandal

It looks like the UFC could have some controversy coming down the pipe, as the man who helped exposed the link between a few high-profile baseball players and PEDs provided by Biogenesis has revealed at least one professional Mixed Martial Artist also received an illicit substance from the company. However, no details were provided, and it’s entirely possible the fighter(s) in question were not members of the world’s foremost MMA organization.

According to a report from ESPN’s Outside the Lines, former Biogenesis employee Porter Fischer said athletes from across the sporting world were involved in the controversy. The two biggest names to surface thus far are MLB stars Alex Rodriguez and Ryan Braun.

Biogenesis was housed in South Florida where camps like American Top Team and The Blackzilians set up shop. More information is expected to surface in the coming weeks.

  • SBERG says:

It wouldn’t surprise me at all to know a few UFC fighters are connected to this. Going to be interesting to see who’s connected to this. And A-Rod is toast . I’m a Yankee fan and would love nothing more than to see him get a lifetime ban and the Yankees being able to void the rest of his contract as well as be able to sue for past money paid based on the guy being a fraud.
Sorry for the unrelated ramble but had to let that out……Just can’t stand that dude.

  • Dufresne says:

Biogenesis is pretty close to the Blackzillians camp which is home to Overeem, Belfort, and formally Bigfoot Silva; all guys who have tested positive for roids or elevated testosterone without an exemption in the past. I’m not saying that there’s any concrete evidence to link the lab and the camp, but it definitely wouldn’t surprise me.
