Marcus Davis added to Bellator roster

Marcus Davis - UFCSeasoned scrapper Marcus Davis is officially a member of Bellator after inking a contract with the organization. Though “The Irish Hand Grenade” hasn’t received an opponent yet, the 39-year old is slated to make his promotional debut on March 21 at Bellator 93 in his home-State of Maine.

Davis went on Twitter over the weekend to confirm the deal and the date/location of his first fight under Bellator’s banner.

The 21-9 Davis has won four of his five fights since being cut by the UFC with the only exception involving a Split Decision stumble. Included in the bunch are instances of success over fellow UFC veterans Pete Spratt and David Bielkheden. Fifteen of his total victories have involved some form of finish.

and there was me saying Bellator dont pick up UFC’s rejects!

ah well, as long as he only gets the prelims it won’t hurt.

  • MCM says:

I wouldn’t call him a “reject” at this point, but I don’t see him making any real waves in the division. Odd pick up for Bellator.

i was real dissappointed with Bellator 85 prelims, it really was UFC rejects time.
Jason Lambert, Hector Ramirez, Mike Guymon, Jamie Yager, it was awful.
luckily since then they’re back to locals and prospects, and i have to say watching those prelims is one of the highlights of Bellator. I just hope this move to Spike doesnt mean Bellator are having to sell their soul too much.

Spike’s going to want names that’s for sure, and a lot of those people you named off fought on Spike then the UFC was over there, so they know them.
