Ronda Rousey all nerves before accepting UFC title

Ronda RouseyIt would be easy to mistake UFC bantamweight Ronda Rousey for a stone-cold killer considering her vicious approach to submissions and the intense scowl she often has splashed across her face. However, it turns out Rousey’s veins aren’t filled with ice water after all, as the 25-year old was extremely nervous in the moments leading up to her recent announcement as the UFC’s first female champion.

Rousey’s condition was captured on video in UFC President Dana White’s latest video blog for UFC 155, showing the unbeaten grappler covering her face at times in hopes of containing her emotion.

Also highlighted in the vlog are backstage reactions from UFC on FOX 5 including Nate Diaz giving an in-depth breakdown of where he went wrong in a talk with teammate Gilbert Melendez.

Shouldn’t she actually fight first? Guess this shows how little faith or interest Dana has in her competition.

She has fought. In Strikeforce. She has even defended her title once. There is no equivalent in UFC so no reason to not just make her the UFC champ. I got no issues with the decision. She still has an immediate defense and if she can’t win then it won’t make any diffrence if she was the defending champion or not.

demetrious Johnson fought. in WEC. there was no equivalent when the flyweight devision was created but the belt wasnt just given to him. the womens division is still a one person division at this point, hyping the other competitors as well would go a long way to changing that.

cyborg should have got the title. She ll put on a better fight than rousy.
