Bellator 81 Results: Marcin Held, Dave Jansen move on to lightweight tournament final

The two men who will face off down the road for the honor of facing Bellator lightweight champ Michael Chandler, as well as a heap of cash, emerged last night at Bellator 81 thanks to a pair of tournament semifinal scraps set at the top of the card. The clashes in question featured Dave Jansen-Ricardo Tirloni and Marcin Held-Rich Clementi, the latter of which served as the show’s headlining tilt.

The 17-2 Jansen is notched his fifth straight win at the show, narrowly outpointing Tirloni. Meanwhile, the 20-year old Held has also found success in a quintet of consecutive bouts after submitting the seasoned veteran Clementi with one of his patented leg attacks.

Also scheduled, featherweight stand-out Marlon Sandro mixed it up with TUF alumnus Dustin Neace and outclassed him from start to finish, picking up a quick Rear-Naked Choke victory.

  • Richard Stabone says:

Clementi was overconfident and played into the kid’s strengths. Still a really impressive performance by the young buck.

that was a really fun main card, all four fights provided plenty of entertainment. 154 has along way to go to better that for entertainment value
