UFC releases video tribute aimed at showing appreciation for its fans

The UFC had some unexpected time off with the cancellation of UFC 151, but the break certainly hasn’t made the company forget about its rabid fan base. In fact, it appears to have had the opposite effect based on a video tribute they created for its supporters. The UFC and its athletes have always been more than thankful for casual and hardcore enthusiasts alike, as made clear in a video featuring some of the best knockouts of the past few years with the sounds of Skrillex backing things.

Along with the video, UFC President Dana White Tweeted, “Fight week!!!! Jones vs Belfort! This if for u the REAL fans. We love u guys!!”

Cool stuff. I’m a huge football, tennis, and cycling fan too, but MMA and the UFC is the most exciting sport. It also comes across a lot more personal, and a lot more creative and artistic. Dana White, love or hate him, is engaged and keeps you engaged as well. You fell like you could walk up to him and most fighters and start a conversation. Something special happens when two human beings enter a cage and pit skill vs skill. It’s entertaining and fulfilling on many different levels that other sports struggle to duplicate. Hard not to feel bullish on the future of the sport.

they owe the fans more then a video package

  • MCM says:

This video seems incomplete without the JUST BLEED guy.

  • Brendhan Conlan says:

That’s why I had to make sure he was fairly represented in the thumbnail.

  • MCM says:

yeah, I didn’t see the thumbnail before I posted.
That’s two “DOH’s!” for me today.
