Report: Forrest Griffin Granted Testosterone Use Exemption Before UFC 148

While confirmation has proven to be fleeting, it would seem that former UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Forrest Griffin was granted a Testosterone Use Exemption ahead of his UFC 148 rubber match with Tito Ortiz.

Forrest took home a victory in his “Fight of the Night” performance against Ortiz at the MGM Grand Gardens Arena this passed Saturday in Las Vegas.

Attempts to confirm the rumors with both head of the Nevada State Athletic Commission Keith Kizer and Griffin’s management have been unsuccessful hitherto. “The Huntington Beach Bad Boy” has also yet to comment on the situation

The original Ultimate Fighter joins a list of six athletes allowed TUEs by the NSAC, a list that includes: UFC lightweight Shane Roller, former UFC heavyweight Todd Duffee, the number one contender for the UFC Light Heavyweight Championship Dan Henderson, recent heavyweight title challenger Frank Mir, and Chael Sonnen, who also competed at UFC 148 in his second attempt at the promotions middleweight title.

    The end is near.

  • MMA-LOGIC says:

Its not a ped if it only BOOSTS your testosterone up to what it would be normally if you were a 18 year old testosterone freak.
Seriously, the idea that all these UFC fighters NEED this is BS. You get old, your testosterone drops or you get old and all that testosterone use in the past means you require TRT.

  • Lord Faust says:

Only guy with a TUE that has won a fight, and it was against Tito… barely.

That’s a 1-3 record since the NSAC started granting them.
