Johny Hendricks vs. Mike Pierce added to UFC 133

The UFC’s August 6 stop in Philadelphia grew again today when the organization announced welterweights Johny Hendricks and Mike Pierce are set for an in-ring meeting on the preliminary portion of UFC 133. The card is already set to feature six other fights in addition to the 170ers’ forthcoming fracas including Rashad Evans vs. Phil Davis and Antonio Rogerio Nogueira vs. Rich Franklin.

Hendricks, a four-time All American wrestler in college with two national titles to his name, has gone 10-1 since transitioning his talents into MMA. Seven of those victories have occurred under the Zuffa banner including opening round TKOs of Amir Sadollah and, most recently, T.J. Waldburger at UFN 24.

In Pierce he will face an underrated opponent with success in his last three bouts and who has yet to be finished in a fifteen-fight career. The 12-3 grappler holds wins over Mike Miller, Paul Bradley, and Brock Larson. He was last seen in the Octagon this past February at UFC 126 en route to a second round TKO of Kenny Robertson.

In addition to the afore-mentioned match-ups, UFC 133 will also feature highly respected middleweights Yoshishiro Akiyama and Vitor Belfort dueling it out on the main card as well as what is sure to be a strike-based affair between veteran brawlers Jorge Rivera and Alessio Sakara.

After Hendricks defeats Pierce he should take on Ellenberger

I have to say that Hendricks loses nine times outta ten-in case you forgot Hendricks loses every time
