It’s no secret that Dana White is a “real man of genius.” Those at Bud Light must agree. Ultimate Fighting Championships and Bud Light announced today that they have renewed their partnership that will see the beer company remain the sponsor of the fight organization for multiple years to come.
“Bud Light’s sponsorship deal with us a few years ago was a milestone for our organization and the sport,” said White. “We couldn’t be more excited about working with Bud Light and continuing our strong relationship.”
The new deal will increase the number of PPV events where Bud Light is the presenting sponsor from two events to four, along with remaining a featured sponsor on all other PPV and televised events. Perhaps the biggest news from this deal though is that Bud Light and UFC will team together to bring a special event fo New Orleans on September 17 titled “UFC: Battle on the Bayou.” The event will air on SpikeTV. No further details have been given about the event but the new deal does call for one “special promotional event” per year with September 17 being the first.
Starting on May 2, fans who are 21 years and older can enter to win a trip to the UFC event in New Orleans by going online to Facebook.com/BudLight. The trip includes a three-day, two-night UFC fan experience in the Big Easy – complete with weigh-ins, an exclusive concert, and meet-and-greets with UFC personalities.
In addition to that, Bud Light will release a limited edition UFC aluminum bottle that will feature the UFC logo.
