“UFN 24: Nogueira vs. Davis” gets greenlight as all fighters make weight

Perhaps the biggest Fight Night in UFC history has arrived with this weekend’s “UFN 24: Nogueira vs. Davis” based on the card’s overwhelming amount of talent including more than two hours of preliminary action on Facebook, an attempt by Leonard Garcia and Chan Sung Jung to capture the magic of their original encounter, Ultimate Fighter Season 7 winner Amir Sadollah taking on TUF 9 finalist DaMarques Johnson, and of course co-headlining tilts between hard-hitting welterweights Dan Hardy and Anthony Johnson as well as undefeated Phil Davis and PRIDE veteran Antonio Rogerio Nogueira.

The twenty-four fighters competing Saturday night weighed in earlier today in Seattle, Washington with all hitting their marks meaning the event will go on as originally scheduled.

Fans can catch five preliminary pairings, maybe more time permitting, on the UFC’s Facebook page at 6:30 PM EST tomorrow with live action firing up on Spike TV at 10:00 PM EST (10:00 PM PST tape-delayed on the West Coast).

Awesome card this. Almost ppv quality really. Violence and beer for breakfast for me.
Should be interesting to see how good Phil Davis’ wrestling really is because from what I’ve seen of his stand up Nogueira outclasses him on his feet. If it goes to ground it’ll be a good test of his sub defense as well because of Nogueira’s bjj.
If Davis wears his pink togs again I’ll call it for Nogueira but if not it’s Davis all the way :)
As for Hardy vs Johnson I’m going for Johnson based on his power and wrestling advantage. Hardy’s standup is awesome but I think Johnson will be too much for him.
I’d like to comment about the rest of the card but it’s time for me to go and turn on the bbq and enjoy a few ales in the arvo sunshine.
    Have fun you lot.
