A Shark Fights showdown is once again set to take place in the promotion’s home-base of Texas with the added bonus of a live HDNet broadcast starting at 10:00 PM EST. The event is headlined by a quartet of talented grapplers facing off in the form of 125-pounders Tara LaRosa (19-2) vs. Carina Damm (15-5) and middleweights Matt Horwich (26-17-1) vs. Danillo Villefort (12-3)
Master of the multi-verse Horwich has won two of his last three fights including finishes of Thales Leites and Jake Rosholt. Twenty of his twenty-six total victories have come by way of submission. Comparably, the Villefort has split ten of twelve career wins between TKO/tap-out.
Their female counterparts may have been late replacements for a cancelled rematch between James Irvin and Houston Alexander but should entertain fans equally given their aggressive in-ring approaches and propensity for ending things before scorecards come into play. LaRosa has finished thirteen opponents with Damm coming in at eleven respectively.
As per usual, Five Ounces of Pain will be here to bring you live results from the event including play-by-play of televised bouts. Check in starting at 7:45 PM EST as resident dude Jeremy Lambert puts on his cowboy hat, shines up his spurs, and throws down a sixer of sasparilla while revealing how things are unfolding in Lubbock.
