UFC Fight Night 23 Weigh-In Results

The UFC has once again returned to a military base in hopes of entertaining the men and women who help keep America safe, as well as raising money for fallen veterans, by offering a solid show rich with talent. All twenty-two competitors set for action stepped on the scale this afternoon in anticipation of tomorrow night’s “Fight for the Troops” event with each making weight meaning the event will go on tomorrow evening as originally scheduled.

Affable heavyweight Pat Barry measured in at 240 lbs. for his bout with powerful peer Joey Beltran with “The Mexicutioner” coming in at 240 pounds respectively.

Also worth noting, title contender Mark Hominick registered at 145.5 pounds on the scale. If Hominick wins he is guaranteed a shot at UFC featherweight champ Jose Aldo. Comparably, his opponent George Roop weighed 145 pounds.

Headliners Melvin Guillard and Evan Dunham both clocked in on target with Guillard being 155 lbs. and Dunham with a slight one-pound advantage for their main-event match-up.

Fans can tune into the festivities live on Spike starting at 9:00 PM EST as well as catch a pair of preliminary bouts starting at 8:00 PM EST through the UFC’s Facebook page courtesy of a streaming broadcast.

I am excited for this card. I like hominick but i am kinda hoping roop pulls off a miracle just so he can turn to the brass and pull off one of my faverite movie qoutes from menace to society ” whats up now partna” i have always disliked the prospect of offering one of the fighters a shot if they win while the other guy is left out in the cold. I am not saying i think roop deserves the shot if he beats hominick just that its not fair. Way it goes i guess
