Ricardo Romero signs four-fight deal with the UFC

Former Ring of Combat heavyweight and light-heavyweight champion Ricardo Romero has become the latest top level prospect to ink with the UFC.

Romero recently joined UFC veterans Jim Miller, Dan Miller, Charlie Brenneman and others at the AMA Fight Club in New Jersey and the news of his signing with the UFC broke shortly afterwords.

Romero, a purple belt in Gracie Jiu-Jitsu and former Division I collegiate wretler, has compiled an impressive career record of 10-1 up to this point. The sole defeat on his resume came via disqualification and Romero has finished nine of his ten victories.

“Ricardo has the attitude & and drive that all of my fighters have and he will fit right in here at AMA,” said Mike Constantino, CEO of both AMA Fight Club & MVC Sports Management.

Looking forward to seeing this fighter compete at the big level

Hes fighting the silverback at 116 seth is back in the ufc

    What a first time test

  • Rece Rock says:

Now why would UFC bring back Seth and let go of Kimbo with out letting that rematch happen? weird, Kimbo’s only PPV would have done alot better #’s Fighting “the silver back” then fighting Meathead Mitrone- but whatever UFC missed the boat on that one??

Anyway- Ricardo has a future ahead of him but he def. needs to prove himself against a different level of competition.

  • MCM says:

This guys got potential, but I feel like we’ve seen more than a few guys come in looking like a world beater just to get shut down. It’ll be interesting to see how he performs though.

Just you watch-Seth versus Kimbo 2
