UFC Undisputed 2010 demo coming soon – four fighters announced

According to a post on the UFC Undisputed website, the demo for the highly anticipated sequel will indeed be released a month before it’s May 25 release date.

The demo will be released on the Playstation Network and Xbox Live.

Four fighters have been confirmed for the demo, with all four being in the UFC’s super stacked light-heavyweight division.

The demo fighters will be:

Quinton “Rampage” Jackson

Rashad Evans

Lyoto Machida

Mauricio “Shogun” Rua

UFC 113 will be headlined by the rematch between Machida and Shogun, and UFC 114 will be headlined by the long overdue clash between Jackson and Evans.

This an upgrade from last year’s demo, which only featured Chuck Liddell and Mauricio Rua.

Along with exhibition, you can also sample the new tournament mode, albeit, it will be offline only.

UFC Undisputed 2010 will be released on May 25, 2010.

Not exactly the fighters I would have picked, but I guess since they’re all in the same weight class and for the most part have different striking styles it should show the supposedly new striking controls off. Shame they didn’t throw in a pair of ground fighters to give us a taste of that aspect of the game.

Everyone one of those 4 fighters have excellent ground games as well. Rashad and Rampage are both great wrestlers and shogun/machida are both bjj black belts with great submissions.

i got this reserved for the xbox at gamestop but then i seen a few days ago the ps3 version is going to have classic fighters like dan severn and jens pulver, was kinda bummed out that one version is better than the other, hit me up on xbl : heyoron

  • I can’t wait! The best part is we won’t have to wait a year for another MMA game as EA MMA is slated to come out in fall/winter 2010!

Also, you can hit me up on XBL at SERG1Otx.

5Oz should look into hosting some kind of online tournament, that’d be cool.

Obviously those fighters were chosen because of their impending fights. Their going to be marketed by the UFC for 113 and 114 which in turn markets the game for its appropriate release in May, a few days before 114

They are good ground fighters, but none of them (besides possibly Rashad) have used their grappling to any real success lately. They are known for being strikers who happen to use their ground game to avoid being taken down.
The last time I remember Lyoto being on the ground, Tito almost secured a triangle on him. Tito’s BJJ sucks.
The last time I remember Shogun being on the ground Forrest did secure a rear naked on him. Forrest has respectable BJJ, and Shogun was in crappy shape for that fight, but still.

I was simply wanting someone that really used their ground game on a regular basis such as Maia or GSP. Didn’t mean to imply that they were all one dimensional fighters.
