Enson Inoue makes return to MMA during ASTRA on April 25

Former PRIDE FC veteran Enson Inoue will be making his first return to action in the mixed martial arts world next month as the Honolulu native is set to square off with Antz Nansen during ASTRA.

The event is slated for April 25 from the Nippon Budokan in Tokyo, Japan.

The forty-two year old veteran of the game made his last trip to the ring back in April of 2004, coming up short via TKO against Tom Sauer during SuperBrawl 35. Known for his never-say-die attitude and fighting spirit, Inoue holds a notable win over Randy “The Natural” Couture and took part in one of the most memorable battles in MMA history against Frank Shamrock in 1997.

Nansen is a kickboxer turned mixed martial arrtist with a record of 1-0. His sole victory came against HIroshi Izumi during Sengoku 10.

A list of the bouts currently expected for ASTRA is below:

Enson Inoue vs. Antz Nansen
Hidehiko Yoshida vs. TBA
Kazuhiro Nakamura vs. TBA
Denis Kang vs. TBA

This could be a real brawl. Nansen wasn’t supposed to beat Izumi, but was real scrappy. Enson better be ready.

  • fanoftna33 says:

I havent seen Enson fight since he put a beating on Colemans boy Wes Alger way back. The guy has great submissions and is very tough, but I think at this point the sport may have passed him by.

  • hindsightufuk says:

what the fuck is ASTRA?? is this a new promotion?

looks like a Pride veterans card, i’ll be watching it, if i can find it. apparently this is Yoshida’s last fight?
