So You Want To Be A Fighter: TUF 12 tryouts set for Charlotte, NC on April 1

The casting call for the next season of The Ultimate Fighter will be open to fighters and would-be warriors in the lightweight and light heavyweight divisions.

The casting call has been officially set by the UFC and Spike TV for Charlotte, North Carolina on April 1 from The Omni Charlotte Hotel.

The festivities are slated to kick off at 8 am ET, with tryouts expected to begin at 10 am ET. If you want to be a fighter, make sure you get there prior to 9 am ET.

On hand to lend a hand in scouting out tomorrow’s fighting stars will be UFC President Dana White, TUF executive producer Craig Piligian, producer Jamie Campione, and Spike TV’s senior vice president of sports and specials Brian Diamond.

The requirements to take part in the tryouts include being over 21 years of age, while you must have at least three professional fights experience to be considered.

    TUF brings new faces to the sports (competitors and fans) so I always embrace TUF from a business perspective; it is Gold for MMA.

    But from an entertainment perspective, I most likely will not be tuning in.

    This is the first season since the second season that has high quality fighters that many people haven’t heard about, so I’m much more excited about this one than last years flop.

    I am excited for this season… after last season I never thought I would say that but they really bounced back with a nice roster of talent, hopefully the fights prove to be as impressive in the octagon as they seem on paper.
