A battle between two of the heavyweight division’s most feared knockout artists is looking likely to take place at UFC 115 as Mirko “Cro Cop” Filipovic and Pat Barry have reportedly been extended a formal invitation to clobber one another in Canada.
The fight has been offered up to both fighters according to MMA Scraps Radio.
UFC 115 is expected to take place on June 12 from the GM Place in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.
Barry had previously been expected to face off with Gilbert Yvel at UFC 115 before the news of the anticipated bout with Cro Cop scratched the possibility of that match-up taking place all together.
Mirko will be looking to make it two in a row in the Octagon coming off the heels of the Pride veteran’s UFC 110 beating of Anthiony Perosh, while Barry is in a similar position with his most recent outing being a UFC 104 “Fight of the Night” TKO of Antoni Hardonk.
Tha chances of a bout between the two notoriously devastating kickboxers going to the judges would be a longshot at best.
