And the hits just keep on coming…………it’s appears Rory Markham is the latest fighter to suffer injury and pull out of UFC 108. Markham was scheduled to fight Martin Kampman on the undercard on the January fight card.
Markham was looking to rebound from a loss to Dan Hardy but he reportedly re-aggravated an Achilles tendon pull, further damage to the tendon could be significantly more serious with a torn Achilles tendon taking upwards of a year to heal.
News of the injury comes from Sherdog.com’s Greg Savage.via his twitter and has since been confirmed.
UFC:108 is one of the most injury riddled cards in recent memory, and has become a challenge for Zuffa to complete.
