Dave Herman TKO’s Don Frye at Shark Fights 6

dave-hermanIn what could be described as a passing of the torch, a young lion slayed an old bull at Shark Fights 6 this evening.

It took heavyweight knockout artist Dave “Pee Wee” Herman all of one minute into the opening round to leave MMA legend Don “The Predator” Frye battered and bruised with a volley of punches that ultimately forced the stoppage.

The two squared off in the main event of Shark Fights 6: Stars and Stripes, which was held in Amarillo, Texas.

Herman improved his record to 15-1, with twelve stoppages due to either KO or TKO, and 3 wins due to submission (although two of the subs were from strikes).  Herman has yet to go to the scorecards in his sixteen fight career.

Also on the card, TUF 7 cast member Gerald Harris blasted UFC and WEC veteran Nissen Osterneck with a big punch just shy of the one minute mark in their middleweight match-up to earn himself the Shark Fight title for the division.

stupid fight. nobody want to see Herman fight down like this. stop fucking around and start fighting contenders Herman, or you will become the next travis fulton.

  • Austin says:

IRONMAN FTW LOL. I love a good travis fulton joke.
Herman needs to hang out in japan.

  • Rich S. says:

1 minute? Yeah, that’s about how I saw it going..

Herman’s a beast.. Frye is likable, but he’s old..

  • Hohlraum says:

dude, you think you can just get into any promotion and fight anyone you want? you are a complete moron.

  • cocoonofhorror says:

yeah i know, its real hard to get a look from Strikeforce or the UFC as a 12-1 HW…

    you idiot.

  • Bullylover says:

Definately would love to see Herman face tuffer competiton. He looks like he has a bright future ahead of him. Does anybody know what he walks around at he doesn’t look like a big heavyweight.

  • edub says:

Herman is overrated and when he finally faces stiff competition itll show. I mean cmon he already lost to a journeyman who isnt even that good.

  • Rich S. says:

Yes, but he had admitted that he didn’t really train.. I think after losing a fight he should’ve won, because of tiring out, his eyes were opened..

He’s got all the talent in the world.. He’s extremely fast for a Heavyweight, and he’s got all the power a HW should have.. If he can just keep his cardio in check, and put some solid training behind those skills, he’ll be a real threat in the HW division..
