Arlovski and Lawler Among the Most Feared Knockout Artists of All Time

According to a recent article in the current issue of Extreme Fighter Magazine, two of the men heading into this weekends Strikeforce card are among the most vicious finishers in the history of the sport.

The feature, which was authored by none other than‘s very own Cory Brady, analyzes which knockout artists should be considered the best at what they do in the history of the sport, he also takes an in depth look at some of the most lethal submission artists of the past and present.

Robbie Lawler will be facing off with the Cesar Gracie trained Jake Shields on June 6 in his Strikeforce debut. Extreme Fighter Magazine finds that Lawler has amassed an 83% knockout ratio throughout the course of his career against some of the best competition the sport has thrown in his direction. Fifteen of his eighteen victories have ended by blunt force trauma.

EFM also highlights “The Pitbull” in their most recent issue. Andrei Arlovski has maintained a 73% knockout ratio with eleven of his fifteen victories ending violently bad for his opponent. The fearsome Belarusian will be facing off with fellow knockout artist Brett Rogers at Strikeforce on Saturday night.

    Crocop would be up there for KO finishing and so would Wanderlei. I imagine guys like Couture are at the other end of the scale.
    Submission victories would be harder to guess but Nog, Mia, Jacre, Almieda etc spring to mind and Leites can’t do anything but grapple it seems so he would be up there also. I imagine guys like Couture would be at the other end of the scale.
    So in conclusion…Randy would find it hard to finish a king size chocolate bar let alone a fight in his favour.
