Tickets for UFC 101 to go on sale next week

The UFC finally announced that tickets for UFC 101, which is to be held at the Wachovia Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on August 8 will go on sale next week.

For members of the UFC Fight Club they will be able to purchase tickets beginning May 21, for those fans who receive the UFC newsletter they will be able to purchase tickets starting on May 22 and the general public will be left to fight for the scraps if there is anything left on May 23.

FiveOuncesOfPain.com recently contacted the Wachovia Center to find out if there were any suites available. They are offering suites starting at $3900 and going up to $4050.

The suites hold twelve people and come with four pre-paid parking passes. Also included in the price is food and beer, wine and soda. You have a variety of menus to choose from when it comes to the food.

UFC 101 is being headlined by Kenny Florian and B.J. Penn as they fight for the UFC lightweight championship while former UFC light heavyweight champion Forrest Griffin will take on reigning middleweight champion Anderson Silva in the night’s co-main event.

Other bouts on the card include Ricardo Almeida vs. Kendall Grove, Johny Hendricks vs. Amir Sadollah, Josh Neer vs. Kurt Pelligrino and up to 6 preliminary fights.

What a great night of fights! Too bad it’s so damn far away. Not bad at $325 per person with alcohol and food included.

Can anyone tell me how long it takes for NORMAL UFC events to sell out? Can I still get tickets for events the day they sell to the regular public (or people with a UFC account) I assume the UFC account thing is just a login to their site.

    Thanks!

This one is expected to sell out quickly, possibly before it gets to the public on the 23rd. At least sign-up to get the Newsletter…not like that costs anything. Plus I assume there will be no center cage seats available in the lower level besides floor seats for $600 a piece. Best to call the arena and get the club level seats now in advance.

Thanks ERTZ, if anyone else has additional helpful info, I’d love to hear it. I signed up for the newsletter now. To be ready.

Get the UFC Fight Club, that is your best bet. For UFC 78 we were 10th row from the cage, met some fighters and such. Got the tickets with no issues. But the event will sell quickly, so if you want to go get the club.

And it costs $74.99 which sucks if all you are going to get is a free shirt and the opportunity to buy ticketss once every couple of years. You do get to watch the undercard fights though.

If you check tickets are still on sale for first level. If you have $300 – $600 to drop on a ticket. All the cheaper seats were sucked up by brokers. I was looking forward to going but not spending a boat load of cash. Guess I will watch it from home
