Star of MTV’s Bully Beatdown Jason “Mayhem” Miller managed to secure a first round rear-naked choke submission victory over a game Kala Hose last night in Hawaii at the debut event for the Kingdom MMA promotion.
The two felt each other out on the feet for a while before Mayhem shot in for a double leg takedown and ended up directly into side control. From there Mayhem punished Hose with strikes and worked his way to full mount before eventually taking the native Hawaiian slugger’s back to sink in the fight ending submission just 2:27 into the first.
Miller has established himself as one of the largest fighting stars in Hawaii while defeating fellow islander’s to Hose, Egan Inoue, Ronald Jhun and Falaniko Vitale along the way. The win over Hose improves Mayhem’s overall MMA record to 22-6 and puts him back in the win column after a recent decision loss to Ronaldo “Jacare” de Souza in Japan, a loss he should have a chance to avenge sometime in the very near future.
While Miller was addressing the crowd following the impressive victory he confirmed suspicions that he would be returning to Dream for a middleweight championship match in his next bout.
“I need your support more than ever now that I got past Kala Hose. I go to Dream to fight for middleweight championship of the world,” said Miller following last night’s win.
The Dream middleweight championship was recently made vacant when Gegard Mousasi abandoned the strap in favor of a move up to the light heavyweight division.
The most likely opponent for Mayhem in the upcoming championship bout is undoubtedly Jacare.
