Cub Swanson vs. Diego Nunes set for WEC 40

As the date gets closer for the WEC’s debut in Chicago the card keeps getting stronger. The WEC has added featherweight bout between undefeated Brazilian Diego Nunes and Cub Swanson has been added to the card.

This will be the second fight under the WEC banner for Nunes as he defeated Cole Province at WEC 37 back in December. Nunes who trains with the Noguiera brothers had won all of his prior fights by either knockout or submission.

Swanson also participated at WEC 37 winning a unanimous decision over Hiroyuki Takaya which was his second win in a row after being humiliated by Jens Pulver in their bout at WEC 32 in December of 2007.

WEC 40 will take place on April 5 from Chicago, Illinois and will air live on the Versus Network. Featured on this card will be a bantamweight title match between hometown champion and consensus top 10 pound for pound fighter Miguel Torres and undefeated Brian Bowles.

    I have FRONT ROW seats in Chicago best $200 (per ticket) I have ever spent. Look for the guy with WEC spelled out in electrical tape on his stomach when this airs.
