  • WarCry says:

Who’s gonna stop Anthony Johnson. He will be taking on somebody real pretty soon. Luigi was no slouch himself. Lauzon looks most impressive as well. I think Hazelnutt will be his next test or Swick. With Diego moving down to lightweight Lauzon will find the climb up the ladder increasingly difficult

  • Rich S. says:

i thought it was a great night of fights..

opened it up with an exciting fight between AJ and Luigi,

Then, an all out back and forth WAR between Neer and Danzig, I swear, i freaking love Neer.. It doesn’t matter WHO HE’S FIGHTING, you can be 100% sure that it will be an exciting fight.. so glad he won too..

then that Grice/Veach fight was pretty insane..
i didn’t have an opinion at first, but once grice slapped on that anaconda, i was rooting for him, that was just beautiful, and then he dropped the guy.. either way it was a nice fight.. didn’t like the stoppage.. Grice looked hurt, but so was Veach, and they never even thought about stopping it for him..

and the Lauzon bout was great..
I love JLau because he’s always going for the crazy stuff, but he actually makes it work..

  • Grappo says:

Why were people booing Neer? Because he was showboating? I thought Danzig was the one that wasn’t that well-liked. Great fight though. Nobody should have been booed.

Pretty good fights all around. Minus Rosholt. Cain’s striking looked great.

  • David Andrest says:

Grappo, I gotta tell ya, the UFC doesn’t mic the crowd for crap. Neer took way more abuse than the smattering of boo’s you heard on spike. The reason behind it was at the opening of the second, Danzig attempted to touch gloves and Neer ignored him. For some reason, people were really put off by this, and proceeded to boo everything Neer did from that point on…………..and when I say people I’d say 5000 of the 7000 people who were there, it was insane.

  • Eric says:

Neer gave the crowd the finger after the first round according to Meltzer, so that played a part in getting booed. Not sure why he gave them the finger though.

  • BigDave says:

This was a dissapointing fight night imo. There was very little to get excited about. everyone that should have won did and fairly easily. Cain looked unimpressive against a guy he should have had outta there earlly in the first round. Neer showed he is a classless punk by first giving the crowd the finger after the first round then not toching gloves at the start of the second when Danzig reached out(although im not really a danzig fan). Johnson looked good but against not so good compation. Lauzon just to much skill won his fight. And Dan Miller made Roshalt look stupid with a quick submission. If roshalt wants to be around atol he better learn some submission defence because he showed none last night.

So now we wait two weeks to see Sanchez vs Stevenson in a main event?on ppv? You cant be fucking serious. How in the hell are either of these guys main event material? needless to say i wont be paying for that one.

  • BigDave says:

oh nevermind its not ppv! lol

  • Rich S. says:

i thought it was a great night of fights…
i was on the edge of my seat for AJ/Lugi, Neer/Danzig, Grice/Veach, and Jlau/Stephens..

i still don’t get why not many people give Neer his credit, and they always pick against him come prediction time..

you have to realize, not only was this guy a beast at WW,
but he really is an elite LW..
    he’s good,
he’s gonna fight with the best, and he’s not going to back down..
He’s got nice striking, great sub defense, great subs of his own, and some good wrestling..
I mean, look at his wrestling last night compared to Danzig’s…

Danzig seems to get more credit from people..

  • hexrei says:

I didn’t pick against Neer, in fact this was one of my best events ever, I pulled 8/10 on picks. Missed only Lauzon vs Stephens and Tibau vs Clementi, and I think each of those was a fair guess even if it didn’t pan out.

  • Grappo says:

Giving the finger is like waving hello in Tampa.
