Most people that read 5 Oz. do so during the weekday work schedule. Having worked in the corporate world before, I’ve done my fair share of web surfing on the job. Some call it slacking, but I say that it’s impossible to focus on work exclusively from 9-5. The brain needs a break.
Some of you only check us out at work because you don’t have Internet access at home. However, there are some people that have Internet access at home but out of habit, only read us while at work. Well, if you have home access and aren’t checking 5 Oz. out on the weekends, you’re missing out.
Here’s a sampling of what you missed this weekend:
— Dave Carpinello’s exclusive interview with Renato “Babalu” Sobral a week before he faces Mike Whitehead at Affliction: Banned
— A weekend roundup of the MMA action you missed, including updates on Phil Baroni’s welterweight debut and Paul Daley’s return to active competition
— Tim Credeur vs. Cale Yarbrough added to UFC Fight Night 14
— My feature on Thomas “The Wildman” Denny, who will be facing Nick Diaz on July 26 during EliteXC’s “Unfinished Business”
— Contender Muay Thai coming to VERSUS on July 31
— 5 Oz. of Pain on CBSSports.com: Breaking down the landscape in the UFC’s light heavyweight division and CBS looks to determine the greatest fighter of all-time in “King Quest”
— Mauro Ranallo speaks out about why he won’t be handling play-by-play for Affliction this weekend
