Saturday a busy day of radio for 5 Oz. of Pain

I will be doing guest spots on two radio shows tomorrow (Saturday).

First, I will be joining Luke Thomas as he debuts “Mixed Martial Arts Nation” on 106.7 WJFK FM in Washington, D.C. from 4-6 p.m. ET. I will be on at 4:20 p.m. ET

If you are a true MMA fan and are in ‘JFK’s listening area, I implore you to not only tune in but to call in as well (800-636-1067).

I’m asking you to support the show not just because Luke and have been a true friends to 5 Oz., but also because the show will be on a major CBS Radio affiliate. The radio industry is notorious for copycat programming, which means that if Luke’s show does well, you’re going to see more MMA shows pop up on local affiliates across the country.

Joining Luke on the show will be none other than James “Sandman” Irvin, who will talk about fighting Anderson Silva during Silva’s UFC light heavyweight weight debut on July 19.

I will also be making my second appearance on “Rear Naked Radio” tomorrow night on 105.3 KLLI Live in 7-9 p.m. CT. KLLI is another CBS Radio affiliate. I was one of several guests, including Evan Tanner.

Also, as a point of reference, Big Dick, one of RNR’s hosts, is the same guy who was on video interviewing Tito Ortiz following his post-UFC 84 press conference incident.
