5 Oz. of Pain on CBS Sports: Q&A with EliteXC heavyweight Jon Murphy

img10819983.jpg Earlier this week I had the opportunity to go visit Brad Daddis’ Daddis Training Centers location in Philadelphia. I was able to get a glimpse of EliteXC heavyweight Jon Murphy’s training routine as he gets ready to face Brett Rogers in a swing bout scheduled for EliteXC: Primetime on CBS on May 31.

After Murphy finished working out with trainer Rigel Balsamico, I was able to interview him for my latest interview.

Murphy is always candid when speaking with the press, something he’s getting an opportunity to do more of these days, thanks to his inclusion on the first-ever MMA broadcast on primetime network television.

During the interview, Murphy spoke openly about his past history with alcohol abuse; how sponsorships have been impacted through CBS’ involvement with MMA; his thoughts on Kimbo Slice and whether he wants to fight him; how he feels about being an undergo for this fight vs. Rogers; and much more. You can check it all out by clicking here.

Great read. Murphy is awesome and – if he lets his hands go like his did to Huckaba in R2 – his fight with Rogers will definitely be exciting. I can’t wait!
