Report: Former IFL fighter Gerald Harris chosen for seventh season of “The Ultimate Fighter” (TUF7)

Former IFL fighter Gerald Harris has been chosen for the upcoming seventh season of “The Ultimate Fighter,” according to an online report by Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer:

Former IFL fighter Gerald Harris is one of the 32 men picked for next season’s Ultimate Fighter reality show. He’s a damn good wrestler. (thanks to Anthony Sullivan)

Harris is 6-2 overall in MMA and was 0-2 during his brief stint in the IFL. He last competed for the promotion during its semifinals on August 2 in East Rutherford, NJ. Harris served as the designated middleweight for Pat Miletich’s Silverbacks and was TKO’d against Benji Radach at just 3:03 into round 1.

Since leaving the IFL, Harris has competed once for Fight Time Promotions, which is based out of Oklahoma. Harris recorded a first round TKO over Jeremija Sanders in November during his lone appearance for the promotion.

  • Jeremy says:

That’s a very good addition to the show. I thought he won his first IFL fight against Leopoldo personally. Even though there are 32 guys to start on this show I am fairly optimisitc we will get 16 good fighters.

  • Pete says:

Hope Gerald can hit harder than his brother … Tajuan is a bit of a pansy. Can’t throw a punch for shit!
