I’m sure you’ve noticed…

That the blog looks entirely different.

I decided to make the switch to WordPress, largely due to user interface issues. I was using some blogging software from GoDaddy that not only looked like crap, but was tough to use from the back end aspect. With WordPress, I’m going to be able to do a lot more things and present a much cleaner presentation.

The only downside is that many other bloggers use WordPress, and as such, FiveOuncesOfPain is going to look like a lot of other blogs. But from what I’ve seen so far, the cleaner layout makes up for the lack of originality. Plus, it appears WordPress isn’t as rigid as my old software and as I learn more about it, I might be able to customize a thing or two.

You’ll like WP. It gives you a lot of flexibility. Let me know if you need any help with it.

    Hey Sam,

I just emailed you back about the questions you have. WordPress is very flexible like Junkie said and there is actually a lot of customization you can do (basically anything you can come up with is feasible).

The default themes are boring but you could quickly change the look to make this stand out from other blogs which stick with the norm.
